Peter holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering (UNB) and M.B.A. from Queens. He enjoyed a 25 year career with Canadian National Railways ending this career as Vice President Marketing and Sales for the trucking division. Peter’s recent attention has been with the ochVänner Group…a group of companies operating and franchising bedroom boutique retail stores. Peter’s involvement was directed to short and long term planning, research and competitive analysis, identifying and exploiting opportunities, and establishing business strategies.
Peter’s other business experience includes Canada Post and its’ franchising program, co-owner of an Ottawa based adult training company, and recently as a consultant specializing in wellness initiatives.
Dr. Kris Edwards is an honours graduate from McMaster's Kinesiology program after which he received a 4 year Doctoral Degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. His clinical experience in private practice and background in precision sheet metal manufacturing adds a unique perspective to team. This owner/operator perspective allows for a bridging of the clinical research data and the practicality of modern manufacturing techniques that are not commonly held by Health Care providers.
Mike is a Canada Research Chair in Neuromuscular Mechanics and Ergonomics and an assistant professor in the Department of Kinesiology at Brock University. He completed a Bachelor of Kinesiology (Honours) degree and a Master of Science in Biomechanics from Memorial University. He has a PhD in Biomechanics from the Department of Kinesiology at McMaster University and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Waterloo. He spent 4 years as an assistant professor at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology before joining Brock in 2016. A former Corporate Controller, and Vice President Finance & Administration, Ross has also headed up his own training and consulting business for a number of years. Ross now owns Your Bottom Line focusing on owner-managed companies, start-ups and turnarounds.
Ross articled with Touche Ross and Co and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1984.
Robert, most recently Vice President, Administration at Fleishman-Hillard International, Canada, had been with the firm for the past ten years. Robert was responsible for ensuring administrative efficiency by coordinating property (leasing, renovations, etc.), security (suite and building access), telecommunications (local, long distance, and conference calling services), and office equipment requirements. In addition, he managed procurement and other service suppliers for Fleishman-Hilliard’s Canadian offices.
Robert supported the administrative needs of all Fleishman-Hillard Canadian offices and managed the administration team in Ottawa. Before joining the Fleishman-Hillard team, he was assistant director of an adult training company.
Jason is currently General Manager, Metalsmiths Co. Limited, a furniture manufacturer, founded in 1926. He has been with Metalsmiths for more than 25 years.
Metalsmiths became established among professional designers as a reliable source of well designed and manufactured furnishings and custom work for prestige executive areas. While maintaining the family tradition of fine metal work, the firm expanded and added expertise in upholstery and cabinet-making.
Many of the designs were recognized with awards in North America and Europe. The tradition of superlative design and craftsmanship in wood, upholstery and metal continues today.
Associates
Robert has extensive training as an Industrial Mechanic/Millwright as well has recently earned certificates in Mechanical Engineering- Machining and advanced PLC programming. Currently managing production line machinery, overseeing quality and production tolerances brings with him hands-on automated production experience.
Wilf has spent over twenty eight years in the area of human capital consulting. His broad in-depth experience has included the areas of organizational assessment, recruitment of upper middle and senior management executives, career transition development as well as management reviews and individual performance and team building training initiatives.
